New in the Game Room: Zen Garden

A little tray of sand to rake while you wait, floating over the game in its own wooden frame (zen mode). Its buttons are carved into the frame's corners: exit, move, resize, and an arrow that opens and closes the tools.

  • Rake lines with a rake, a stick or a brush. Hold on anything you've placed to rake rings around it.
  • Place stones, flowers, stone lanterns and bonsai, all drawn from photos of real Japanese gardens:
    • Bonsai: pines, junipers and autumn maples in stoneware pots, with leaning trunks and layered cloud-shaped leaves
    • Stones: craggy, rounded and flat, in mottled colours, some with small companions and a bed of moss
    • Lanterns: a weathered stone roof with curled corners and a lotus top, and a flickering flame that lights up the sand around it
    • Flowers: camellias, chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms, with open blossoms and buds
  • Everything you place casts a soft shadow on the sand, which fades as the garden gets darker.
  • Let out fireflies that drift about and softly glow, lighting the sand below them.
  • Automatic slowly rakes 17 calm patterns by itself, in a random order that never repeats until each has been used, then rakes rings around your stones and lanterns. Hold the Automatic button to pick a pattern from a list.
  • A soft raking sound with a volume slider and a new Tone slider, from softer to sharper.
  • A brightness slider, from full daylight to night with glowing lanterns.
  • Steady hand tidies your lines, an optional triangle grid snaps things into place, four sand colours, undo, clear everything at once, and save a picture.
  • Battery saver setting (Android 13 and newer) for a lighter way of drawing the sand.
  • Your garden is saved as you go.

New: Settings

Find it at the bottom of the bubble's long-press menu, or with the Settings button on the app's main screen.

  • Dark mode: Off, On, or Match phone. Every tool window turns dark, and so do the websites inside the tools (the OSRS Wiki switches to its own dark look).
  • Text size for the app's tools, and for web pages (Wiki, DPS Calculator, XP Calculator, GE Prices and Shooting Star Tracker).
  • Bubble: size, whether it fades when you're not using it, how long to hold it to open the menu, and whether it vibrates.
  • Windows: how wide tool windows open in landscape, and a button to put every window back to its normal size and place.
  • Tools in the menu: untick the tools you don't use to keep the menu short.
  • Updates: turn off the check for a new version when the app opens.

Improvements

  • Windows and the bubble now stay clear of the navigation bar (the home and back buttons) as well as the status bar, so they can always be dragged. They go back where you left them when the bars hide.
  • With Match phone, a dark mode change waits until you close the tool you're using, so it won't stop a ToA Watch or a puzzle guide.
  • Tapping the bubble no longer opens a tool you've hidden from the menu.
  • Behind-the-scenes tidying of the code.

New: ToA Puzzle Helper (Beta)
Answers for the five Path of Scabaras puzzles in the Tombs of Amascut, on a small map of each room.

  • Light puzzle: reads which plates are lit and shows which to step on
  • Addition puzzle: reads the tablet's number from the chat and shows a walk that adds up to it
  • Sequence puzzle: watches the tiles flash and numbers them in order (with a countdown while it waits)
  • Matching puzzle: watches both boards as you walk them and shows the matching pairs
  • Obelisk puzzle: tap in what happens and it works out the order
  • The answer is drawn at the bottom of the screen while the window shrinks out of the way
  • Every puzzle can also be solved by tapping in what you see

Best results: camera facing east, looking straight down, zoomed out to 25%.
Puzzle rules adapted from the Tombs of Amascut RuneLite plugin by LlemonDuck.

Teleport Finder

  • Only suggests places it has teleports for
  • Routes skip shortcuts, doors and boats your WikiSync levels and quests don't allow
  • Closed-off parts of the walking map joined to the rest, and 31 missing cave and boss-room entrances added
  • Calcified moth added, and Cam Torum joined to Neypotzli for the Moons of Peril

Windows and the bubble

  • The bubble starts where you last left it
  • The Notepad can be moved and resized like the other windows
  • When the status bar is showing, windows and the bubble move just below it so they can always be dragged, and go back where you left them when it hides (like in the game)
  • Tools are only set up the first time you open them, so the bubble starts up lighter

Puzzle Box, Light Box and DPS import

  • Puzzle Box: working out a new plan after an unplanned move no longer stalls
  • Puzzle Box: scanning no longer makes the game stutter
  • Puzzle Box and Light Box: the hints come off the screen if you leave the game mid-solve (when sharing just the game)
  • Puzzle Box and DPS import let go of their pictures when the window closes
  • Import my gear uses the OSRS Wiki DPS calculator's item list and pictures, with a few from the OSRS Wiki
  • The solved puzzle pictures and the Dragon Slayer II map now come with the app, so they work offline

Other

  • Notepad: an empty new note isn't kept when you close the window
  • Phone backups only include your settings, notes, timers and Inventory Setups pictures, so they stay within Android's backup limit
  • App icon supports Android 13's themed icons

@sinat50 sinat50 released this 30 Sep 06:00

A small update to screen capture.

  • On Android 14 and newer, when Android asks to allow screen capture you can
now choose "A single app" and pick Old School RuneScape. Only the game is
captured, so your notifications and other apps never are.
  • You're still only asked once each time you start the bubble.
  • The Puzzle Box and Light Box Solvers, Inventory Setups and "Import my gear"
    work the same either way.

Install: download OSRSBubbleTool-1.0.5.apk below and open it on your phone.
It installs over your current version and keeps your settings.

@sinat50 sinat50 released this 30 Sep 04:51

New

  • Teleport Finder (Beta): type any NPC, monster or place and see the teleports that land closest to it, from about 500 teleports. Distances are real walking routes, counting walls, doors, ladders, cave entrances, boats and levers. Each result names its key step (like "Then: Climb-down Trapdoor"), location buttons show monster levels, and teleports your quests or levels don't allow yet are faded.
  • Hunter Rumours: pick your tier and the rumour you're on to see where the creature is, how to get there and what to bring.
  • WikiSync tool at the top of the list. Set your name once, and the Quest Helper, Hunter Rumours and Teleport Finder show a green ✓ or red ✗ WikiSync tag.
  • Wing It: a new tap-to-fly game in the Game Room.

Changed

  • The Game Room now has 2048 and Wing It. Higher or Lower and the Loot Simulator were removed, because Jagex's Fan Content Policy doesn't allow games made with their content.
  • DPS gear import: Osmumten's fang is no longer mistaken for a dragon sword, and 94 out-of-date item pictures were replaced.
  • The main screen fits in landscape without scrolling, and the long-press menu is shorter in portrait so ✕ Close bubble is easy to reach.
  • New icon with matching outlines on the pickaxe and hammer.
  • Credits and the Legal screen updated.
  • Lots of small bug fixes and battery improvements from a full code review.

v1.0.3 – Game Room & resizable windows

Choose a tag to compare

@sinat50 sinat50 released this 29 Sep 06:26

New

  • Game Room – games for while you wait:
    • Higher or Lower – guess which item is worth more on the GE, with
live wiki prices. Gets harder as your streak grows.
    • Loot Simulator – kill any of 46 bosses or open any tier of clue
casket as many times as you like, or until the pet drops, using the
wiki's drop rates. Rare drops are highlighted with the kill they came on.
    • 2048 – the classic tile puzzle, saved after every move.
    • Tap ? next to a game's name for how to play.
  • Resizable windows – drag the bottom-right corner of a tool window to
resize it, and drag the top bar to move it anywhere. Each tool remembers
its size; double-tap the corner to reset it.
  • Update button – the main screen now shows Up To Date or Update
Available, and takes you to the latest release.

Install

Download the APK below and open it on your phone. If you already have the
app, it will update in place and keep your settings.

v1.0.2 – Quest Helper, Calculator & Notepad

Choose a tag to compare

@sinat50 sinat50 released this 29 Sep 00:33

New tools

  • Quest Helper (Beta) – step-by-step guides for 195 quests, showing the
items you need for each section and whether you'll need combat gear.
Checks your requirements with WikiSync, lists achievement diary tasks, and
has built-in puzzle solvers and diagrams. Some puzzles still need mobile
screenshots; use the "Help improve this quest guide" button to share them.
  • Calculator – a simple calculator that understands k, m and b
    (e.g. 1.5m × 3).
  • Notepad – save, read and edit notes without leaving the game. It sits
at the top of the screen so the keyboard doesn't cover what you're typing.

Improvements to existing tools

  • Wiki
    • The game's wiki button (under the world map) can now open pages in the
bubble's Wiki window instead of your browser. Turn it on in
Permissions → "Open wiki links in the bubble".
    • Wiki links from other tools open in the Wiki window, and ◀ takes you
straight back to the tool you came from.
  • Puzzle Box Solver – new "Show moves as" setting. Choose the coloured
boxes or dots that get smaller with each move, like RuneLite's style. Your
choice is remembered, and move tracking works with either style.
  • Permissions screen – a new card for wiki links that shows whether
they're turned on and what happened to the last link.
  • Legal screen – added credits for the Quest Helper plugin.

Install

Download the APK below and open it on your phone. If you already have the
app, it will update in place and keep your settings.

OSRS Bubble Tool 1.0.1

New

  • Light Box Solver: open a light box and tap Solve. Press each button when asked, then press the buttons outlined in green. Instructions appear right on the light box.

Improved

  • Puzzle Box Solver finds the puzzle by itself (no more setting an area), follows your moves almost instantly, shows "Move 3 of 42" above the puzzle, and re-plans automatically if you make a different move.
  • DPS Calculator and Inventory Setups find your side panel by themselves.
  • Inventory Setups: the spellbook picture now shows the spellbook tab icon, and the rune pouch picture shows just the runes.
  • Faster gear recognition in the DPS Calculator.
  • Solver windows are now small boxes in the top-right corner, and hide while you solve.

Fixed

  • Screen capture is only asked for once each time you start the bubble.
  • GE Prices: price graphs no longer stop you scrolling back up.
  • Solver messages disappear as soon as the puzzle is closed.

Battery

  • Screen capture pauses itself when no tool is using it, and web pages pause when their window is closed.

OSRS Bubble Tool 1.0.0

The first release. OSRS Bubble Tool puts a small floating bubble over Old School RuneScape. Tap it to open a tool beside the game, tap again to hide it. Free, no ads, no accounts.

Tools

  • OSRS Wiki: the wiki in a window over the game.
  • Puzzle Box Solver: reads a clue puzzle box from the screen and shows your next moves on top of it.
  • Inventory Setups: save pictures of your inventory, equipment, rune pouch and spellbook to check while gearing up.
  • XP Calculator: oldschool.tools calculators.
  • DPS Calculator: the OSRS Wiki DPS calculator, with Import my gear to load your worn equipment straight from the screen.
  • Shooting Star Tracker: live star locations from 07.gg.
  • Zulrah Helper: tap-along rotation guide showing Zulrah's position, where to stand and which prayer to use.
  • Timers: farming and birdhouse timers with notifications. They keep working after closing the app or restarting your phone.
  • GE Prices: OSRS Wiki Real-time Prices.

How to install

  1. Download OSRSBubbleTool-1.0.0.apk below on your phone.
  2. Open it. If Android asks, allow your browser or file app to install apps.
  3. If Play Protect says it doesn't recognise the app, tap More details → Install anyway. This is normal for apps from outside the Play Store.
  4. Open the app, go to Permissions, and allow Display over other apps. Then tap Start Bubble and open the game.

Good to know

  • The screen is only captured when you use a tool that needs it. Nothing runs in the background, and timers use almost no battery.
  • The app only shows information. It never changes the game or clicks for you.
