Bring your reading home: Envy now imports Kindle highlights.

⚠️ Important — older Kindles only for now. This works only with older Kindles that mount as a USB drive in Finder. Newer Kindles connect over MTP, which macOS doesn't mount natively, so they are not supported yet. Support for MTP Kindles is coming later.

Import Kindle highlights and notes. Turn on Settings → Import → Kindle, plug in your Kindle, and press Import from Kindle (also in the File menu). Every highlight arrives in your Inbox as its own fleeting note, titled by the quote's first words and page (the map is not the territory, p42), the passage as a blockquote, the book as a [[link]]. A note you typed on the Kindle attaches beneath its passage; adjusted highlights collapse to their final form; bookmarks are skipped. No Kindle handy? "Choose Clippings File…" imports a copied My Clippings.txt from anywhere.

It remembers what it imported. Plug in after each reading session and only new highlights come in, even if you've since filed, retitled, or deleted the earlier ones. That memory lives in an Envy Data folder inside your Index, so it travels with your vault: import on one Mac and a second Mac on the same synced vault won't re-import. "Forget Import History" resets it.

Make the notes yours. Choose what the title carries (page, location, both, or neither) and whether each note's attribution shows the author and location.

Fixed: a folder dot's hover label no longer blanks the note-list date when the two aren't near touching.
