Requirements

  • macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later
  • BlackHole 2ch virtual audio driver

Installation

  1. Install BlackHole: brew install blackhole-2ch
  2. Download and open SoundMax-Installer.dmg
  3. Drag SoundMax to Applications
  4. Set system audio output to "BlackHole 2ch" in System Settings
  5. Launch SoundMax and select your real speakers as output
  6. Click Start and enjoy!

Notes

  • First launch: Grant microphone access when prompted (required to capture audio from BlackHole)
  • Unsigned build: Right-click → Open to bypass Gatekeeper
