A trained model is supposed to make RoomMind smarter. In cool-only rooms it made overrides quietly stop working, which is an unusual kind of progress. That is fixed now, and air conditioners hear from RoomMind less often, so there is less beeping.
What's New
- Setpoint offset for direct devices: Devices whose built-in sensor reads warmer or colder than your room sensor can now get an offset, so the temperature sent to the device is shifted accordingly (#369).
Bug Fixes
- Cool-only rooms ignored overrides once the model was trained: Overrides in cool-only rooms now cool as expected in MPC mode instead of staying idle (#388, #408, #377).
- AC no longer blasts cold air before switching off: A cooling AC is switched off directly instead of being set to its minimum temperature first (#388).
- Override entity no longer applies comfort defaults on turn-on: Turning on the override climate entity now keeps the current targets, and a follow-up temperature from an automation is applied before anything is sent to the devices (#447).
- Compressor minimum run time keeps the compressor running: When the room reaches its target during the minimum run time, the device now keeps its last setpoint instead of dropping to the room target, so the room can overshoot a little more. A lowered target (eco, vacation, schedule off) still reaches the device right away, and a device that briefly still reports "off" after starting no longer ends the protection early (#436).
- Fewer repeated commands to air conditioners: Unchanged commands are resent less often, which should reduce repeated beeps on IR-controlled units (#416).
- ECO override with heat/cool devices: A device in heat/cool mode can no longer be steered toward the heating target while the compressor protection holds it on (#284).
- Window sensors after a restart: Window and door sensors that are still unavailable after a restart no longer count as closed, so heating or cooling doesn't start briefly and stop again. RoomMind waits up to 5 minutes for them to report (#437).
- Heating setpoint stays within the device range: The heating setpoint now stays one step below the device's maximum, because some integrations reject their own maximum (#396).
- Other helpers are no longer deleted at startup: Helpers from other integrations whose ID starts with
roommind_are no longer removed (#433). - Vacation end date field: The label no longer overlaps the empty date field (#367).
