Fluent Scrobbler — v0.1.0-beta Release Notes (2026-07-31)
Warning
This is an initial beta release and may be unstable. Features and stability may vary during testing.
Fluent Scrobbler introduces its initial beta version, featuring direct Last.fm integration, real-time background scrobbling, and personalized listening statistics.
Important
First-Time Setup Instructions:
- Download the
.exefile and accept any browser download prompts. - Run the executable and complete the installation wizard.
- Launch the application and click Login to authorize the Last.fm integration in the browser.
- Grant permission and return to the application.
- Play audio on the preferred streaming service.
- Navigate to Settings > Source Filtering and check the enabled media player.
Initial Features
- Background Scrobbling: The application automatically scrobbles played tracks in the background without interrupting playback.
- Daily Summary Dashboard: Users can track daily listening habits with insights including daily scrobble count, estimated listening time in hours and minutes, daily vibe analysis based on top tags, and total lifetime scrobbles.
- Direct Last.fm Authentication: Seamless OAuth integration allowing instant connection to Last.fm accounts via the default web browser.
- Audio Source Filtering: Provides granular control over which media sources and players are tracked by the scrobbler.
- Recent Listening History: Displays a real-time list of the 5 most recent scrobbles directly on the main interface.
- Theme Personalization: Full customization support including Light, Dark, and System default themes.
Known Issues
Caution
The following issues may occur during this beta phase:
- Track artwork and album images may fail to load or appear blank in the history list.
- UI elements might occasionally experience minor rendering anomalies.
- Duplicate scrobbles may occur under certain network or playback conditions.
