A quick follow-up to 2.5.0 with more ROM hack support and fixes from your reports.

GS Chronicles support

  • Detected straight from the save file
  • Party, all 25 PC boxes, bag, trainer info and Pokédex
  • Species, moves, items and abilities come from the game's own engine source. Thanks G0LD!

ROM hacks the app doesn't know yet

Some hacks keep the Emerald save layout but use their own Pokémon (Emerald Ex, Emerald Enhanced, Black Pearl Emerald and others). Before, PKForge treated them like normal Emerald. Now:

  • You get a warning when you open one: it's probably a ROM hack, some data may show wrong and editing is at your own risk
  • It opens read-only by default. Long-press the save on Home and pick "Edit at my own risk" if you want to edit anyway
  • Saves that a normal write would break stay read-only, no matter what

Home screen fixes

  • Diamond/Pearl saves show the game again instead of the file name
  • FireRed/LeafGreen, Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl now show the right version, read from your own Pokémon. If the save has none of yours yet, the app asks you once
  • New art for FireRed/LeafGreen, Diamond/Pearl and GS Chronicles

  • Liberty Pass (Black/White)
  • Eon Ticket (Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire)
  • GS Ball event for Crystal (Celebi)
