This is the big one. 3.0 took a lot of work: a new look across the whole app, a new PC, a proper summary screen, a Mystery Gift album, event flags, and a feature we're really proud of: the Living Dex Autopilot. A lot of what's in here came straight from your reports and ideas, so thank you.

Living Dex Autopilot

Every save you have, plus the Bank, working together toward one living dex.

  • It finds a copy of every Pokémon you already own and brings them together in one place: your Bank or a game of your choice
  • Spare trade-evolution Pokémon evolve on the way (you have two Kadabra? one becomes Alakazam)
  • Tells you what's still missing and where you can catch it in your games
  • Guided in 4 steps: choose where, review the plan in plain words, confirm, done
  • Safe by design: nothing is copied, a game never gives up its only copy unless you allow it, Hardcore and ROM hack saves are left out, every save gets a restore point, and nothing is written until you confirm
  • On dual screens, watch your Pokémon fly between cartridges on the bottom screen

A brand new PC

  • Two cursor modes like the games: red to move one Pokémon, green to select many
  • Select a whole box in one press, drag to select an area, keep your selection across boxes
  • Bulk actions: move, send to the Bank or another game, export, release, legalize, make shiny or not, remove duplicates, heal
  • Box manager built in: rename boxes, change wallpapers, lock, copy, empty
  • Held item icon on every Pokémon, in your saves and in the Bank
  • Can't find your Exp. Share? "Find held item" lists every Pokémon holding it

Summary screen

  • A proper summary like the 3DS games: Info, Stats, Moves, Origin and Legality
  • L/R to flip through your Pokémon
  • On dual screens, the bottom screen follows your cursor as an inspector in the Bank and your boxes

Mystery Gift, rebuilt

  • A real card album with search, filters and grouping by year or event
  • Around 4,300 cards, with English titles
  • Item gifts can now be received straight into your bag
  • New key item events: Enigma Stone (HGSS), Liberty Pass (Black/White), Eon Ticket (ORAS) and the GS Ball for Crystal

Event flags

You asked for it: turn event flags and variables on and off, from Gen 1 to Gen 9, with PKHeX's labels, a warning on story-critical flags and a restore point on every change.

Legality tools

  • "Suggest" buttons for met location, ball, moves and relearn moves, with a before/after preview
  • Every move shows green or red, with the reason
  • Legality report with a fix button for each problem, plus "Fix all safe"
  • Paste a whole Showdown team or box at once

More control over each Pokémon

  • Forms and form arguments (Rotom, Furfrou, Hoopa, Alcremie and more)
  • Memories, handling trainer, OT gender
  • Mints, Technical Records
  • Star or square shiny, PID and encryption constant

World and events

  • Fix the broken clock in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald so berries grow again
  • Roamers from Gen 3 to 6, rerolled the legal way
  • Apricorns and the Pokéwalker for HGSS
  • Entralink and Dream World for Gen 5
  • Re-fight the Gen 1 legendaries, reset the GS Ball event

ROM hacks and emulators

  • GS Chronicles fully supported, with the author's blessing. Thanks G0LD!
  • Hacks we don't support yet open read-only with a clear warning, and you can edit at your own risk
  • New 3DS emulators: Citra MMJ and Lime3DS
  • FireRed/LeafGreen, Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl now show the right version, read from your own Pokémon

A new look

  • A new 3DS style across the whole app, cleaner and easier to read
  • 81 new pixel art menu icons
  • Stacked cartridges on Home when you have several saves of the same game
  • The second screen stays in sync everywhere, and touch scrolling works on it
  • Forms and megas now show the right sprite everywhere (Mega Charizard X and Y, regional forms, Alcremie, female forms and more)
  • Much faster navigation

Fixes

  • Unbound saves exported by mGBA open again
  • RetroArch compressed saves no longer lose data on write
  • Some BDSP, Gen 6 and Legends Z-A Pokémon in the Bank were read in the wrong format
  • Several menu options that did nothing are working again

Thanks to everyone who sends saves, bugs and ideas. We finally made it to 3.0.
