New features

  • Add DS and DNSKEY record support through dig, with parsing, serialization, and typed package flags: Types::DNS_DS and Types::DNS_DNSKEY.
  • Request DNSSEC records explicitly by name or package flags. Existing default, DNS_ALL, and wildcard queries remain unchanged. The native PHP handler reports a clear error for these unsupported types.

Tooling and compatibility

  • Require PHP 8.4 or higher.
  • Update Pest and Pint, test PHP 8.4 and 8.5 against lowest/latest dependencies, and enforce deprecation-free tests.
  • Add deterministic DNSSEC handler coverage without depending on public DNSSEC availability in CI.

This is a feature release with no existing runtime API behavior changes. Projects using PHP 8.2 or 8.3 must upgrade PHP before installing this version.
