Summary

A couple of fixes: your overlay opacity now sticks across restarts, and the What's New panel shows a clean summary.

  • Overlay opacity stays put — The opacity level you set now persists across restarts instead of resetting.
  • Tidier What's New — The release notes shown in Settings now display a clean summary without setup boilerplate.

macOS Installation (Signed + Notarized)

Download the correct .zip or .dmg file for your device (Apple Silicon or Intel), drag Sidekick.app into Applications, then launch it normally.

On first launch, macOS should recognize the app as signed and notarized. You should only need to approve the usual Microphone and Screen Recording permission prompts inside System Settings.

⚠️ Windows Installation (Unsigned x64 Build)

When running the installer on Windows, you might see a "Windows protected your PC" warning from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen saying it prevented an unrecognized app from starting.

Since this is an unsigned build, this is expected. You can safely ignore it by clicking More info and then Run anyway.

The public artifact release workflow currently publishes x64 installer and portable artifacts only.
