The short version

Auto permissions, in chat and terminal: Choose Manual | Auto | Yolo in Settings → Agents. Auto lets supported Claude and Codex agents handle approvals, and new native chats follow your choice too. You can choose a separate permission mode for other agents; existing chats keep their own settings.
Native chat (experimental): Open OpenCode 2 directly in chat, find Codex skills by typing $, and pan and zoom image previews. Rewind works in long conversations, and usage limits show when they reset with a Continue button to pick the conversation back up.
A better phone composer: Attach files as well as photos, insert skills inline, and choose model, effort and permissions from one sheet. Faster recovery after switching apps and more responsive terminal scrolling make it easier to keep working away from your desk.
Smoother SSH work: Managed servers recover from lost pairing over SSH, tunnels follow a restarted server's port, and unsaved editor drafts survive the move to a managed server. File uploads work better over high-latency links, and a configurable Node.js mirror helps on networks that block nodejs.org.
More control over your workspace: Space responds faster, lets you inspect changed files before cleanup, and puts row actions in a dedicated menu. Browser pages can ask for a username and password, and Orca asks before a page opens another app.
A lighter app and faster Mac updates: Shared desktop and browser assets, fewer duplicate resources and smaller tour animations reduce the app's footprint. macOS updates avoid background installer throttling, helping Orca get back to your work sooner.

Compatibility & upgrade notes

Native chat (experimental): Some chat features require support from the remote host. Keep paired and SSH hosts updated alongside Orca to use the latest capabilities.

Auto permissions: Availability depends on the agent, model and host version. Changing the default applies to new sessions; existing native chats retain their saved permissions.
