Mars

Mars — GSPack 0.8

Mars is GSPack's Stellaris datapack extension, using dimension ID stellaris:mars. Follow the Stellaris chapter for rocket travel and equipment. Bring a full space suit, oxygen supplies, food and a reliable return plan. The first Moon trip remains accessible; To Orbit is optional.

Landscape and resources

Explore ordinary Martian terrain, Frozen Wastes with Packed Ice and Blue Ice, uncommon Research Wastes, and Colony Flats. Martian Lumestone lights caves and emits light level 13. Mars variants of iron, copper, gold, osmium, uranium and Unobtainium have their own red-stone textures and Fortune/Silk Touch loot.

Rare Unobtainium generates between Y -48 and 16, using two-block vein attempts in one out of eight chunks. Native Allthemodium mining restrictions remain. New terrain features generate in new chunks.

The local day lasts 24,660 ticks. The dusty red sky shows square Phobos and Deimos; they are visual objects, not travel destinations. A very small Mars is visible in the Overworld sky.

Structures

Structure	Location	Purpose
Research dome	Research Wastes	Four spawners, three loot chests and a guaranteed Martian Research Relic; bring your own oxygen
Oxygen village	Colony Flats	Connected domes, spaceman villagers and Mars supply trades
Pillager camp	Mars	Alien pillagers, a captain and expedition loot
Ruins	Mars	Expedition loot with 5% frequency per eligible placement candidate, not 5% of every chunk

Research relics are not available from village trades or ruin loot. Use one to craft the Martian Navigation Core in an Advanced Crafting Table; this is an ingredient of the Cosmic Core.

Village life support automatically receives energy and oxygen while its protected installation is loaded near players. Keep the airlock closed. Villagers have a separate oxygen-immunity safeguard, but can still be killed by combat or raids. Player-built oxygen installations retain ordinary consumption.

Mars raids use pillagers only; Overworld raids retain normal mobs. Mars Endermen, creepers and space-suit zombies can survive without oxygen. The configurable tank drop defaults to 1% and gives an empty tier-1 oxygen module; a small sample may give no drops.

EMC

Mars Stone, Regolith and Sand have 1 EMC; Lumestone has 32 EMC. Ores, relics and endgame components remain excluded. See EMC Policy.

Server checks

With appropriate command permissions, run these from Mars:

/locate structure gspack:mars_research_dome
/locate structure gspack:oxygen_village
/locate structure gspack:pillager_camp
/locate structure gspack:mars_ruins

Fully restart client and server after installing 0.8; a resource reload cannot register new blocks, items or potion effects.
