Deadeye Arcade 0.3.26

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Oct 03:10

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.26 completes more reviewed TeknoParrot gun controls.

Game profiles now use the RS3's physical or learned controls independently of custom frontend/menu actions. A missing menu Coin action cannot remove a game's coin input, and changing a menu Start shortcut cannot move the game's physical Start button.

Reviewed mappings include Star Trek Voyager Start/Reload, Rambo Rage, Silent Hill Option L/R, Transformers Human Alliance's two triggers, separate attack/defense lever buttons in Shadows Rising, and named pedal controls. The active profile supplies each legend label; cabinet controls requiring a different input system remain visible for review.

Includes the input recovery, serial timing, per-player Wii weapon/gesture profiles and local library-wide controls audit from the current application. Windows installer and portable package are available with checksums; physical gun and post-resume tests remain separate from profile checks.

The desktop companion uses a hidden top-level receiver for power broadcasts and records its input receiver handle for targeted local diagnostics.

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Oct 02:51

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.23 improves input recovery and per-player game controls.

  • Re-registers Raw Input after session unlock, resume and Remote Desktop transitions, checks registration ownership and clears stale held buttons in both the frontend and the desktop companion.
  • Waits for RS3 serial output to drain and settle before closing the connection, including the command that restores normal mouse input.
  • Completes reviewed Dolphin mappings for Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles, Overkill, Ghost Squad and Link's Crossbow Training. Both players receive native bridge buttons for weapon selection and gesture actions.
  • Adds distinct RS3 bindings for TeknoParrot Change/Option actions and reads active game profiles into a local controls audit. Missing assignments and unreviewed title requirements remain visible in Automatic repairs.
  • Distinguishes USB detection from actual gun button input. Failed serial setup no longer retains a stale configured flag.

Physical input, gameplay completeness and independent two-player operation still require an on-screen gun test; software checks do not mark those tests as completed.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.22

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 21:03

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.22 integrates a reviewed repair catalog into startup, import and game launch.

The app recognizes moved game paths, broken portable emulator paths, missing matching OpenAL runtimes, missing support files for the exact Hypseus release, access requirements and shared PCSX2 pointers. It restores eligible missing support files from hash-checked official packages and keeps existing files and upstream licenses.

Settings now shows Automatic repairs: results, remaining steps, known pitfalls and recent changes. Existing supported gun/profile adapters record their actual changed files with before/after hashes. Catalog rules and fixes are distributed with normal releases and self-updates; reports remain local.

Display diagnostics separate Remote Desktop modes from physical-session modes and record changes through the frontend and optional desktop-gun companion. No physical refresh rate or completed gun test is inferred from a remote session.

Validation includes 247 core regression checks, optional checks against both official repair archives, English/German repair UI checks and a native Windows build. Existing libraries and startup preferences are retained. Vendor access, Windows consent and physical aiming/independent P2 still need their applicable checks.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.21

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 20:21

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.21 preserves exact lightgun assignments when Remote Desktop hides their RawInput mouse interfaces.

A healthy, present USB interface can retain its assigned device-name profile. Mouse-index profiles are refreshed only when the actual RawInput mice are visible, so a remote launch no longer silently replaces valid gun assignments with disconnected placeholders or guessed mouse indices. Keyboard-only visibility no longer counts as live aiming input.

Time Crisis 5 now shows the credit, weapon, cursor and pedal bindings from the recognized game-scoped AutoHotkey helper. Its trigger is shown only when the assigned DemulShooter mouse matches. Modified helpers, duplicate helpers and another cabinet side do not inherit this legend. Two players still require linked cabinets for this title.

This release includes regression checks for remote USB retention, genuinely disconnected devices, local mouse indexing and the Time Crisis 5 legend. Existing libraries, startup preferences and the recognized HOTD 2: Remake multiplayer plugin setup are retained. Physical aiming, button actions and recoil require verification with the actual guns at the display.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.20

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 19:27

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.20 configures independent guns for the recognized, already installed HOTD 2: Remake multiplayer plugin.

The compatible MultiLightgunPlugin 2.0 uses compact VID/PID assignments in its persistent configuration. Deadeye now writes the assigned P1/P2 devices, rejects ambiguous shared device IDs, preserves a backup, and shows the plugin's shoot, reload and menu buttons in the control legend. Unknown plugin versions retain their own setup workflow. The plugin and game files are not distributed with Deadeye.

Enable multiplayer inside the game. A loaded assignment does not prove independent physical aiming, revival, calibration or recoil; these still require an actual test with both guns.

The release retains 0.3.19's renderer-window recovery and the input, session cleanup, Dolphin, RetroArch, Flycast, RPCS3 and TeknoParrot setup improvements from 0.3.18. Libraries and startup preferences are retained.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.19

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 19:10

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.19 keeps game overlays connected to the active game window.

Some games replace their splash window with another renderer window after startup.
Deadeye now reacquires a stable, visible renderer from the owned game session when
the previous handle is gone. Overlay recovery and native window checks therefore
use the current window. The startup control legend still appears only once.

This update includes the input, session cleanup, Dolphin, RetroArch, Flycast,
RPCS3 and TeknoParrot setup improvements from 0.3.18.

Launch checks confirm startup, a detected window, parsed bindings and session cleanup.
They do not prove aiming, calibration, recoil, multiplayer or full-game stability.
Game libraries, input settings and startup preferences are retained.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.18

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 18:33

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.18 improves gun input, game startup and recovery.

  • Prevents overlapping launches and tracks owned child processes, including games that use a separate renderer executable. Ending or restarting a session releases its game processes and helpers.
  • Restores P2 trigger navigation in Gun Studio and calibration. Device discovery no longer unregisters the frontend's active input listener.
  • Uses a compact, scrollable startup legend and game menu with monitor-aware placement.
  • Adds separate P1/P2 Dolphin inputs through its native DSU backend for supported RS3 title profiles, with no virtual-controller driver. Physical two-player gameplay still needs testing.
  • Configures supported RetroArch lightgun devices, physical mouse indexes, title options and protected emulator hotkeys.
  • Configures separate Flycast raw devices and recent standalone RPCS3 Raw Mouse / PS Move bindings.
  • Applies installed TeknoParrot vendor metadata while retaining player inputs and game paths; fixes supported legacy path and display settings.
  • Handles temporary RS3 serial-port failures without blocking otherwise available USB input.

Launch checks confirm startup, a detected window, parsed bindings and session cleanup.
They do not prove aiming, calibration, recoil, multiplayer or full-game stability.
Game libraries, input settings and startup preferences are retained.

Game Details now shows recorded native launch and cleanup results separately from
physical gameplay verification. Supermodel title overrides and stale TeknoParrot
player labels are resolved from the active configuration. RPCS3 input YAML uses
the Windows config subdirectory, including portable layouts.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.17

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 14:11

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.17 restores reliable remote buttons and keeps the app exit available during button testing.

  • Windows session detection follows live transitions between the physical screen and Remote Desktop. A process-start snapshot previously left remote clicks blocked after connecting to an app started locally.
  • The native Close app · Windows button works during button testing, including a deliberate lightgun trigger aimed at it.
  • Remote mouse clicks can end a button test; returning to the physical screen restores the gun-test input isolation.
  • Includes the original eye-and-target Windows icon and matching arcade wallpaper introduced in 0.3.16. Artwork and setup notes are in docs/branding.md.

Game libraries, input settings and startup preferences are retained.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.16

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 13:48

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.16 introduces an original app icon and matching arcade wallpaper.

  • A bold ivory eye with an orange aiming target identifies Deadeye Arcade in Windows.
  • The executable, main window, Setup, uninstaller, desktop shortcut, Start menu shortcut and Installed Apps entry use the new icon.
  • The Windows ICO includes seven sizes from 16 to 256 pixels, with transparent corners.
  • A matching dark arcade-hall wallpaper is included at wallpapers/deadeye-arcade.png. Its quiet left side keeps desktop icons readable. Apply it through Windows Personalization; updates preserve the wallpaper already selected by the user.
  • Original branding PNGs, the Windows ICO and generation notes are available in the repository under the MIT license.

Game libraries, input settings and startup preferences are retained. Gameplay behavior is unchanged from 0.3.15.

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.15

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 12:28

Deadeye Arcade 0.3.15 adds a dedicated emergency exit and independent desktop gun markers.

  • Hold the same player's Start + Coin buttons together for two seconds to end the current game. Release both before using the gesture again.
  • A dedicated input thread monitors a keyboard hook and keyboard state independently of the frontend UI. Termination runs outside the UI dispatcher. Trigger autofire does not reset this gesture.
  • Show blue P1/P2 crosshairs for assigned absolute-input guns on the Windows desktop and Explorer. Each marker uses its own physical device coordinates; Remote Desktop's shared pointer is not impersonated as a gun.
  • Keep markers available with the frontend closed, through a separate background companion and startup entry. Settings can disable them. Games and other applications hide the markers, and marker windows never intercept clicks.
  • Stop and restart the companion during installer upgrades, and remove its startup entry on uninstall.
  • Add timing, partial-release, autofire, player-routing and desktop-coordinate regressions. Core checks: 174 passing.

The trigger-hold menu remains optional. A total Windows freeze, secure desktop or terminated frontend cannot be covered by a software-only emergency guarantee. Physical gun buttons and desktop movement need local validation; Windows retains one shared system click pointer.
