v1.6.4

  • Persist group by app (Alt-G) setting to Windows Registry (#29)

v1.6.3

Highlights

  • App-grouping can now be toggled with Alt-G, enabling more Windows-like switching
  • Dynamic multi-monitor DPI support
  • Show window count
  • Fix bug causing Alt-Escape to affect other applications (YouTube fullscreen, etc.)
  • cmdtab now uses a cozy hand cursor when you're selecting apps with the mouse
  • Fix GDI handle leak

Notes

Being able to disable grouping windows by app has been a popular request. Two people have contributed their personal forks which implement this feature. They inspired me to make this happen and their pull requests helped me realize it. A special thanks to @itsmaybetokyo (#20) and @prechelt (#22)! At the moment this setting is not saved between cmdtab launches; that'll be added later.

cmdtab now dynamically matches the DPI of whichever monitor it appears on. This needs some testing as I don't have multiple monitors. It is a known bug that the text doesn't scale (will be fixed).

I also did some deeper performance testing and plugged a (known) GDI handle leak. cmdtab is in tip-top shape. No leaks, very low memory usage, ultra low CPU usage. Truly an engineering marvel, the likes of which the web dev community has never seen before!

Enjoy!
