PR Review: polish/agent-tool-namesdevelopment

Summary: Updates agent definition files to reference tools as write and edit instead of Write/Edit.

✅ What's good

  • Consistent across all 46 agent files — zero leftover Write/Edit references in .opencode/agents/
  • No functional impact — these are markdown description files, not executable code
  • Clear scope — title accurately describes what was changed

⚠️ Observations

Incomplete coverage — 12 other files in the repo still use Write/Edit:

  • AGENTS.md:59 — master configuration file
  • .opencode/docs/templates/collaborative-protocols/implementation-agent-protocol.md:41
  • .opencode/docs/templates/collaborative-protocols/design-agent-protocol.md:36
  • .opencode/docs/hooks-reference.md:9,18
  • docs/examples/README.md:270
  • docs/COLLABORATIVE-DESIGN-PRINCIPLE.md:468
  • skill-testing-framework/ — 5 files

The PR title says "Update agent tool references" so the scope was intentionally limited, but this creates an inconsistency where the master config (AGENTS.md), templates, and docs still use the old naming. A follow-up PR should sync the remaining files — particularly AGENTS.md and the templates, since agent protocols reference them.

Verdict

Clean, low-risk, and correctly scoped. No bugs or code quality issues. The naming is actually more accurate since OpenCode's tool names are lowercase (write, edit) in the system prompt. Recommend noting the 12 remaining files as a follow-up.
