A CLI tool for evaluating the impact of AI-assisted work — measuring not just velocity and output, but whether AI is serving human flourishing.
Conscience asks the question posed by Pope Leo XIV in Magnifica Humanitas: "Does AI make human life on earth 'more human' in every aspect of that life?"

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
conscience setup |
Show what's configured and how to fix what isn't |
conscience examine |
Ethical analysis of the current project. --pr for one pull request, --all for every project on this machine. Writes a snapshot. |
conscience report <topic> |
Diagnostic views: github, ai, energy, tokens, authorship, attention, history, automation
|
conscience reflect |
Reflection questions for a team retrospective; -i --save to answer and keep them |
conscience retro |
Aggregate saved reflection sessions into a team view |
conscience push |
Send a saved snapshot to a dashboard, after you've looked at it |
conscience prune <id> |
Remove the launcher behind an entry from report automation: a cron line, a launchd agent, a daemon job. Never touches logs |
conscience du |
What conscience wrote versus the logs it only reads; --tidy removes old snapshots while keeping what history compares |
The current directory is the project unless you say otherwise. Every run prints what it covered. See the Command Reference for flags.
