DDLCDesktop v2.0.0

Version 2!

DDLCDesktop 2.0.0 brings forward 2 new large systems, the Installer, and the Updater. The installer makes setup significantly easier, requiring no manual extraction of any DDLC assets. The updater means no more manual installations, as soon as an update is released you will get an in-app prompt allowing you to install it directly. It also adds some small extra features, bugfixes and stability improvements, you can see a full list of changes below.

Installation

Simply download and run DDLCD-v2.0.0-OfflineInstaller-x64.exe. You shouldn't need to download any other files.

Updating from an older version

If on an older version unfortunately updating isn't really possible anymore with the installer. Just use the installer like normal and re-setup the app. Whilst this may be annoying this is the last time you'll ever need to do this anyway as updates are now automatic.

Updating from an older version

IMPORTANT: If updating from an older installation, you should ONLY download the JustMonika.exe file from the assets (NOT JustMonika-v1.1.1.zip), and replace your current JustMonika.exe with the new one. Do not change the config.json or anything else, the app will automatically handle all of that.

DDLCDesktop v1.1.0

Notes:

• It is recommended you join the discord to report any issues or get help as this app can be quite confusing to setup at first.
• This version now handles the configuration much better, you no longer need to create it manually, and every setting is built into the app under the 'settings' menu. The only thing you now need to do is extract the assets from DDLC and install the font (optional). Therefore you can still use the now outdated video tutorial just ONLY watch from 0:00 to 4:41 and ignore the config creation etc. Instead, just open the application and you will be greeted with a setup guide that explains it in more detail and much more easily for people who aren't very tech-savvy.

• Added support for each characters "casual" outfit varients.
• Improved character sizing and positioning (it's now more consistent, and more restricted, also works on monitors other than 1080p)
• Allowed support for other languages.
• Fixed text rendering so it shouldn't have any more weird characters in sentences and stuff.
• Fixed a bug where clicking the buttons would also count as clicking the character.
• Fixed a bug where there was a small 1-2px gap between the characters heads and bodies.

Updating from an older version

IMPORTANT: If updating from an older installation, you should ONLY download the JustMonika.exe file from the assets (NOT JustMonika-v1.0.0.zip), and replace your current JustMonika.exe with the new one. Do not change the config.json or anything else, the app will automatically handle all of that. You can then further configure using the new 'settings' menu in the app, where you can change character, language, name, pronouns, etc.

Updating from an older version

If you're updating from an older version you can just download the exe and replace it with your current exe. HOWEVER, do note in this release the config.json format has changed, therefore you need to update it to the new format. This can be quite confusing so it's recommended you watch the updated YouTube tutorial that includes an upgrade guide.

Changes:

• Fixed Natsuki and Sayori not having a name.
• Fixed some Yuri head sprite names being incorrect.
• Fixed the window click through bug, now you are only able to click Monika and anywhere else will pass through.
• Improved stroke rendering - it's now much cleaner at bigger font sizes and replicates the game much more closely.
• Removed old escape to close bind in place of a new "close" button.

Updating from an older version

If you're updating from an older version, since this update doesn't effect anything but the binary, you can download JUST the exe from the files below, simply replace your current JustMonika.exe with the new one and it should work straight away without needing to reinstall.
