DDLCDesktop v1.1.0
Notes:
- It is recommended you join the discord to report any issues or get help as this app can be quite confusing to setup at first.
- This version now handles the configuration much better, you no longer need to create it manually, and every setting is built into the app under the 'settings' menu. The only thing you now need to do is extract the assets from DDLC and install the font (optional). Therefore you can still use the now outdated video tutorial just ONLY watch from 0:00 to 4:41 and ignore the config creation etc. Instead, just open the application and you will be greeted with a setup guide that explains it in more detail and much more easily for people who aren't very tech-savvy.
Changes:
- Added support for each characters "casual" outfit varients.
- Improved character sizing and positioning (it's now more consistent, and more restricted, also works on monitors other than 1080p)
- Allowed support for other languages.
- Fixed text rendering so it shouldn't have any more weird characters in sentences and stuff.
- Fixed a bug where clicking the buttons would also count as clicking the character.
- Fixed a bug where there was a small 1-2px gap between the characters heads and bodies.
- Added the ability to drag them around.
- Added custom pronoun support.
- Fixed a bug where some models would wrap the json data in code fences.
- Fixed a bug where it would crash when changing to a character that doesnt support the current pose/expression.
- The textbox no longer disappears if theyre not saying anything, which previously prevented access to any of the buttons such as "close".
- All config.json options are now built-in to the app under the "settings" button.
- Adding interactive setup if on a fresh installation.
Updating from an older version
IMPORTANT: If updating from an older installation, you should ONLY download the JustMonika.exe file from the assets (NOT JustMonika-v1.0.0.zip), and replace your current JustMonika.exe with the new one. Do not change the config.json or anything else, the app will automatically handle all of that. You can then further configure using the new 'settings' menu in the app, where you can change character, language, name, pronouns, etc.
