Repository navigation
GitBob 0.3.0
GitBob 0.3.0 adds undo, drag and drop, file history, line comments in pull request reviews, and makes large repositories faster. Still an early alpha: keep your usual backups and pushes.
What's new
- Undo / Redo (toolbar, ⌥⌘Z / ⇧⌥⌘Z): take back the last commit, amend, checkout, branch or tag change, reset, cherry-pick, revert, merge, pull or rebase you did in GitBob. Undo never overwrites uncommitted work and refuses if the repository changed in the meantime.
- Merge and rebase: right-click a branch to merge it into your current branch or rebase onto it, or drag a branch onto your current branch. Drag a commit onto it to cherry-pick.
- File history: every commit that changed a file, following renames, with each commit's change (History button in any diff, or right-click a file in a commit).
- Sign in with GitHub now works out of the box: GitBob shows a short code, you approve it on github.com.
- Line comments in pull request reviews: comments appear under their lines in the Files tab; hover a line and click + to add one (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
- Clone from your repositories: with an account connected, Clone… lists your repositories from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps. Type to search, tick Use SSH if you prefer.
- Faster on big repositories: measured on the VS Code repository (192k commits): working-changes refresh 1.5 s → 0.14 s after a fresh clone, and a one-click Speed up history makes the history open in 0.65 s instead of 1.65 s.
