How to handle base styles reset (preflight) in a component library?

I am trying to create a component (as part of a component library which has just this component for now) using TailwindCSS. I want this component to look a certain way and tailwindcss expects the base preflight css (normalized css) to be present. Now as part of the library, I do not want to impose this preflight normalization on consumers who would have some different base set in their webapps.

How should I provide these preflight so that it doesn’t affect the existing base resets of consumer? Some possible options:

1. Rely on consumers providing appropriate base resets and component would inherit the same
2. Add base reset individually on each tailwind css class usage
3. Provide base resets from the component itself to the consumer app.
