Personas
To understand the different people involved in TransitSync, we created four personas based on their roles and relationship to the system. Karim Smith, Sarah Lee, and Marc Tremblay are primary personas because they represent the main users who would interact directly with TransitSync to analyze data, evaluate transit strategies, and review simulation results. Emma Roy is a secondary persona because she does not directly use TransitSync, but represents the transit passengers who are affected by the decisions and strategies being evaluated. Together, these personas help us consider both the needs of the people using the system and the passengers impacted by its results.
Karim represents users who work with transit data and simulations. His persona focuses on analyzing data, testing different conditions, and understanding the evidence behind potential transit strategies.
Sarah represents users responsible for evaluating and planning transit operations. Her persona focuses on service coordination, passenger impacts, operational risks, and testing strategies under different conditions.
Marc represents decision-makers who need to review simulation results and understand their implications without necessarily working with every technical detail. His persona focuses on clear results, operational risks, and communicating findings.
Emma represents passengers who are affected by transit coordination decisions but do not directly use TransitSync. Her persona focuses on reliable connections, predictable travel, minimizing waiting, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
