What's New

Studio documents, tables and widgets

• Create and edit Markdown documents and typed tables with autosave, version history, restore, and CSV import/export.
• Build interactive widgets from editable React source, preview them with Plugin data, and manage documents, tables and widgets together in Studio.
• Archive and restore Studio content, with permanent cleanup after 30 days. Preserve unsaved edits through navigation, conflicts, application quit and update restarts.

AI collaboration

• Ask AI about selected text, table cells or columns using shared reference cards with source and revision context.
• Review AI changes and selectively undo them while preserving later human edits where possible; follow request status and open its conversation.
• Improve selection boundaries, session/model pickers and input handling: Enter sends, while Shift+Enter or Command/Ctrl+Enter inserts a line break, with IME composition protection.

Workspace and reliability

• Navigate a redesigned desktop with resizable sidebars, workspace overview, Studio search, full-page settings, and back/forward navigation.
• Open browser tabs directly from the workspace toolbar, and keep closed tabs from reappearing after delayed updates.
• Improve streaming reconnection, cancellation records, local daemon authentication and attachment handling. Include the widget compiler and verify it inside both packaged architectures.

Upgrade notes

• Existing canvases become Studio widgets; Apps are now named Plugins.
• Upgrading from 0.3.10 or an earlier 0.4.0 preview migrates older databases to schema v30 with an automatic backup. Upgrading from 0.4.0-beta.3 requires no additional database migration. Older releases cannot open a v30 database directly.
• Requires macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, or macOS 15.5 or later on Intel.
