Has anyone been having troubles installing rust packages or simply running cargo install cargo-edit (for instance...)?

Hello everyone!

I cannot build rust packages nor even run cargo install cargo-edit.

The process just fails:

  cargo:warning=/data/data/com.termux/files/usr/bin/bash: /opt/bin/aarch64-linux-android-gcc: No such file or directory

Obviously there is no /opt/bin/... directory. How come that bash (?) Is looking for something there? (Or is it not this the issue at all?)

Can anyone advice on how to deal with this?

P.s.: I am unsure if this is the right place to ask about this. It just looks to me that it could not be addressed somewhere else. Pardon me if otherwise...

Answering my own (foolish? question).

I most probably had a borked termux setup.

Uninstalled it.

Reinstalled it.

Reinstalled previously installed package list.

And re-tested. At least cargo install cargo-edit now runs without complaints.

We can call this one solved
