WS bridge 0.6.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Jul 16:32

Self-contained Go build of the WebSocket-to-TCP bridge from
tools/ws_bridge.go (v0.6.1).
No Python, no pip install, no runtime dependencies.

Pick your platform:

  • ws_bridge-*-windows-amd64.exe — Windows 10/11 64-bit
  • ws_bridge-*-linux-amd64 — Linux 64-bit
  • ws_bridge-*-darwin-arm64 — macOS Apple Silicon

Run: open a terminal in the download folder and execute
the binary. Defaults to listening on ws://localhost:7878;
see --bind and --port for overrides. The Reticulum
daemon target (host:port) is supplied per-connection by
the webapp via ?host=X&port=Y query params, not as a CLI
flag — one running bridge can serve any number of webapp
instances against any number of different rnsds.

Verify the download:

v0.6.0 — Transport flasher & configurator page

Choose a tag to compare

@thatSFguy thatSFguy released this 07 May 05:00

Adds a new flasher.html page alongside the webclient, scoped to the reticulum-lora-transport firmware family.

What it does

  • Auto-fetches the latest release from the transport repo via the GitHub API.
  • Lets you pick your board (ProMicroDIY, RAK4631, XIAO_nRF52840) and downloads the matching UF2 — drag onto the bootloader USB drive after a double-tap reset to flash.
  • After the board is running, connects over USB (Web Serial) or Bluetooth (Web GATT) and exposes the full persistent config: display name, freq/BW/SF/CR/TX power, lat/lon/alt, battery multiplier.
  • Apply & Commit writes to flash; Refresh re-reads.

Wire protocol

msgpack over BLE GATT or u16BE-prefixed Web Serial frames. Spec lives in docs/transport_node_programming.md. Commands implemented: ping, get_config, set_config, commit.

Known limitations

  • Web Serial DFU path needs a locally built firmware.zip — transport CI does not publish .zip packages today, only .uf2. The advanced section accepts a manual upload.
  • The auto-download Web-DFU path is blocked by CORS on release-assets.githubusercontent.com; will need a same-origin firmware mirror (e.g. transport repo's GitHub Pages) to enable.
