What it does
- Derives albedo, 16-bit height, normal, roughness, ambient occlusion, cavity, convexity, slope and edge maps, with an optional bent normal and ORM, from one photo. About 0.1 s for a 1K material on Apple silicon.
--learnedruns the bundled MoGe-2 geometry model on the Neural Engine, so recesses like mortar and grout read the right way round.--repair-albedo autorebuilds the photo so it tiles, cutting along the least visible seam.--export/--also-exporttoglb,usdz,unreal,unity-hdrp,godotandblender.- Catalog batches with
--jobsand--report,--watchfolders, recipe files and recipes saved in the Material Lab Mac app. --info,--contact-sheetand--diffto inspect any bundle;--validateto check one.- No account and no network: everything runs locally.
Every derived map is an estimate from one photograph, and each bundle records exactly how it was made. man material-lab documents every option.
