@thereprocase thereprocase released this 28 Sep 19:40

Fillaprint v0.1.3 is a beta update of the typeface for small FDM-printed labels. We are fine-tuning the letterforms, spacing, and print behavior for release, with an eventual Nerd Fonts launch as a future target. This is not an official Nerd Fonts release.

Download Fillaprint-0.1.3-beta.zip for all three families, installation notes, and the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Internal OpenType version: 0.103.

What changed since v0.1.2:

  • Capital V is wider: 10w of ink (was 9w), as wide as M and W, with the same round point. The wider angle leaves a little less fill in the point.
  • Capital Z has longer top and bottom bars: each now runs 0.5w past the opposite mitred corner (Z is 1w wider). The diagonal and corners are unchanged.
  • Both were chosen by a reviewer from four options each, shown on the Fillaprint page.
  • Fillaprint Mono uses the same V and Z (both fit the 12w cell).
  • Spacing and kerning around V and Z changed, so text containing them can reflow.

Try the font, calculate a print size, and view specimens.

Nominal strokes and minimum clear gaps use two extrusion widths. Check your own sliced preview. The fonts were rebuilt from the tagged sources with the pinned dependencies; this release does not claim new physical-print validation.

Replace installed beta fonts and restart your design application when updating. Keep the v0.1.2 ZIP with projects that need its exact layout.

Fillaprint v0.1.2 is a beta update of the typeface for small FDM-printed labels. We are fine-tuning the letterforms, spacing, and print behavior for release, with an eventual Nerd Fonts launch as a future target. This is not an official Nerd Fonts release.

Download Fillaprint-0.1.2-beta.zip for all three families, installation notes, and the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Internal OpenType version: 0.102.

What changed since v0.1.1:

  • v and z are sharper, with much less solid fill where their strokes meet. v's arms meet in a plain round join at a wider angle (v is 1.5w wider); z has a steeper 61° diagonal with mitred corners. Both were chosen by a reviewer from five candidates each, shown on the Fillaprint page.
  • V and Z follow: V has the same round point (now 9w wide, like N and O); Z has mitred corners.
  • Fillaprint Mono uses the same v and z.
  • Spacing and kerning around these letters changed, so text containing them can reflow.

@thereprocase thereprocase released this 26 Sep 16:54

Fillaprint v0.1.1 is a beta update of the typeface for small FDM-printed labels. We are fine-tuning the letterforms, spacing, and print behavior for release, with an eventual Nerd Fonts launch as a future target. This is not an official Nerd Fonts release.

Download Fillaprint-0.1.1-beta.zip for all three families, installation notes, and the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Internal OpenType version: 0.101.

What changed since v0.1.0:

  • Dots are 3w across instead of 2w (i, j, punctuation, dot and dieresis accents), so they keep a solid core when sliced. Affected advance widths and kerning changed; text set in v0.1.0 can reflow.
  • ij is two letters again: v0.1.1 development builds printed it as one solid slab.
  • Fillaprint Mono keeps every glyph, including the missing-glyph box, on its fixed cell, and uses the same J " - . / shapes as the other families.
  • Line spacing: letters with a comma below (ș ț ķ ļ ņ ģ ŗ) stacked directly under accented capitals (Å Ă Š) need 30.6w line spacing instead of the default 28w to keep a 2w gap.
  • Contributing: the repository now includes a local glyph tuner that previews and validates changes to the glyph sources and exports a Git patch.

Try the font, calculate a print size, and view specimens.

@thereprocase thereprocase released this 25 Sep 19:52

Fillaprint v0.1.0 is a beta typeface for small FDM-printed labels. We are fine-tuning the letterforms, spacing, and print behavior for release, with an eventual Nerd Fonts launch as a future target. This is not an official Nerd Fonts release.

Download Fillaprint-0.1.0-beta.zip for all three families, installation notes, and the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Internal OpenType version: 0.100.

  • Fillaprint: proportional letters and kerning.
  • Fillaprint Tab: proportional letters with equal-width digits.
  • Fillaprint Mono: fixed-width character cells.

Try the font, calculate a print size, and view specimens.

Nominal strokes and minimum clear gaps use two extrusion widths. Check your own sliced preview. The rebuild uses pinned dependencies and may differ slightly from the earlier working-name binaries. This release rebuilds and packages the existing glyph sources under the Fillaprint name; it does not claim new physical-print validation.

The family names will remain stable for compatible updates. Each release gets a new version and archive. Keep this ZIP with projects that need exact repeatability: future font changes may alter text layout or geometry. Replace installed beta fonts and restart your design application when updating.
