What's new

  • Settings tab with two new options:
    • Remember last used settings: boot selection, image, image mode, partition scheme, file system, cluster size, volume label, advanced options and Windows customization choices are restored the next time Rufix starts. The target drive is never remembered.
    • Updates: check for new versions (optionally at startup) and install them in one click for the .deb and tarball installs. Downloads are verified against the SHA-256 checksum GitHub publishes for each release file.
  • Flatpak bundle (rufix-0.2.0-x86_64.flatpak), built automatically by GitHub Actions. It uses your system's formatting tools and polkit through flatpak-spawn --host.
  • README now describes Rufix as a tool for any Linux distribution.

Install

  • Debian / Ubuntu / Linux Mint / Pop!_OS: sudo apt install ./rufix_0.2.0_all.deb
  • Flatpak: flatpak install --user ./rufix-0.2.0-x86_64.flatpak
  • Any distro: tar xzf rufix-0.2.0.tar.gz && cd rufix-0.2.0 && sudo ./install.sh

0.1.1 does not include the updater, so this update has to be installed manually once.
