Release list
Omatrack v1.9.0
- Map opens a resizable Track Atlas view with measured track edges,
road surface, corner landmarks, and current/reference GPS lines. Both
cursor markers follow the same alignment as the traces and video. - Corner focus automatically shows a compact map and zooms the expanded
view onto both driving lines when each selected lap has motion-consistent,
sub-metre GPS. Coarse or unknown GPS remains an approximate overview;
recorded positions are never snapped to the track or shifted to agree. - Keep track maps available offline, retain cached geometry after failed
refreshes, and distinguish bridged edges, receiver accuracy, and Atlas
measurement accuracy. Pan, wheel zoom, Fit, and H/J corner navigation
work in the expanded map. - Compact library sidebar with on-demand filter facets and clearer source
and recording rows. - Opening a video no longer jumps to fullscreen: it opens docked above the
traces, and fullscreen is only entered with F or Full. - Parser pinned to
motorsport-telemetry-rs1.3.5 (cac837f): stint-aware
lap roles, the dominant GPS week for AiM clocks (a stale week at power-on
no longer dates a recording years early), and pit stops carved out of the
lap that held them. The converter generation advances, so remote
.telemetrycaches regenerate. - Pit stops are their own filmstrip cell, one fixed size however long the
car stood; in- and out-laps are now sized by driving time like every other
lap. The filmstrip no longer shows tooltips. - Continuous playback (Per lap / Continuous,
P): the video plays
through lap ends without the 3-2-1 countdown, and the playhead stays at a
third of the trace workspace (and of the fullscreen HUD strip) while the
traces scroll past it into the next lap. - Reference pacing is selectable in the Sync menu: match position and pace on
straights (default), pure GPS following with no corner pacing, or recording
speed with a hard sync only at the lap start and on pause. - Reference sync strategies reworked after measuring them on real laps:
- Lap percentage now uses lap distance when both laps carry the logger's
own distance (Cosworth: ~2–4 m apex error instead of 11–33 m by lap
time) and keeps lap time for speed-fused distance (AiM). - GPS is one "verified fixes" strategy: a fix counts only if its positions
agree with the car's speed, so a receiver that lost satellites but still
claims 4 m accuracy no longer drags the reference hundreds of metres off.
Dense fixes sync continuously, patchy ones re-sync, none fall back to
lap percentage. Pre-corner GPS is gone. - Damper strategies are offered only when the damper channels move.
- The manual damper strip is taller, follows the cursor, zooms with the
wheel (±3 s by default), scales each trace to the window, and has
one-sample nudge buttons.
- Lap percentage now uses lap distance when both laps carry the logger's
- Fullscreen HUD gap bar: with sub-metre GPS on both cars, a ±8 m bar below
the speed shows where the reference car is relative to yours.
Portable Linux AppImages, the Windows Velopack installer, and macOS apps can check this release from the header and update themselves after verifying SHA256SUMS.txt. Windows installs per-user (no UAC) and applies updates through Update.exe.
Downloads are unsigned development builds. The macOS image is ad-hoc signed but is not Apple-notarized.

Offline telemetry models included
Omatrack 1.8.3 includes the proven value reader, lightweight gauge detector, and larger AiM-specific detector, with checksum-verified contracts and upstream notices. No model download or account is required to use the shipped bundle.
- Discover → Confirm → Extract: gauges are annotated while video plays; review the setup, confirm it, then explicitly start extraction.
- The larger detector is used only when the current image independently matches the reviewed 1080p orange-AiM layout. Other layouts and large-model failures use the lightweight detector. Routing is not based on a filename or extension.
- Reviewed AiM profile crops remain available alongside experimental detections. Saved per-file/extension setups require fresh validation; user edits and disabled selections survive rediscovery.
- Cache identity tracks the actual confirmed reading configuration, not changing unselected proposals. Cold reopen and partial/complete cache reuse are covered by tests.
- A read-only
--check-model-bundle --require-bundled-runtimecommand verifies the installed assets and actual packaged ONNX Runtime. Release archives are checked using their own packaged executable.
Supported scope
Learned detections remain experimental proposals, not approval to read arbitrary crops. The reviewed reader extracts gear, displayed stint counter, brake visible fill and throttle visible fill. It does not invent physical brake pressure, GPS, authoritative lap classification or values for unsupported widgets. Native telemetry takes priority; original recordings remain unchanged. Image inference is local and does not upload footage or telemetry.
The models are pinned to the immutable model bundle. The larger detector is not a global replacement because of its VBOX tradeoff and higher CPU cost. Framing-reader candidates that failed quality gates are not included. See the bundled notices for licensing scope; no new license or footage-redistribution grant is implied.
