Release list
Vidrado 1.0.3
Native macOS focus with blur, dimming, app rules, grayscale app icons, and 13 interface languages.
- Fixes the focus mask on multi-display setups. Mask rectangles are clipped in the WindowServer's global coordinate space, so the mask now covers the full height of every connected screen instead of stopping at the built-in display's height.
- Apps set to "Keep clear" now actually stay sharp. Background blur is a window-level property that the clip region does not restrict, so the mask is now built from one overlay per masked rectangle instead of one clipped overlay per display.
- Fixes mask panels being pulled down by the menu bar on a secondary display, which left an unmasked strip along the top edge.
- Fixes apps losing the effect after switching windows, and mask flicker from reordering unchanged overlays.
- Adds a Quit control to the focus menu. Vidrado has no Dock icon and no visible menu bar, so the app menu was unreachable and quitting meant remembering the keyboard shortcut.
- Requires macOS 14 or later.
- The DMG contains a universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
- The app is ad hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple.
Install by opening the DMG and dragging Vidrado to Applications. If macOS quarantines this copy, remove that attribute from Vidrado only:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vidrado.appVerify the download with both files in the same folder:
shasum -a 256 -c Vidrado.dmg.sha256Read the README for use, privacy, and implementation limits.
What's Changed
- Add a Quit control to the focus menu by @paulovitin in #6
