Toolport Studio 0.1.0-beta.1
Pre-releaseToolport Studio 0.1.0-beta.1
First beta.
Toolport Studio is one desktop app for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Grok, and OpenCode. It uses the provider CLIs you already have installed and signed in, so there is nothing new to authenticate and no API keys to convert.
It gets used for real work every day across multiple providers. Beta means the surfaces are not all equally mature. It does not mean the basics are shaky.
Before you start
Install and sign in to at least one provider CLI:
- Claude:
claude auth login - Codex:
codex login - Cursor:
cursor-agent login - Grok Build:
grok login - OpenCode:
opencode auth login
Provider coverage
Grok has by far the most mileage. Claude and Codex get regular but lighter use. Cursor is light. OpenCode is the least exercised, so expect the roughest edges there.
Much faster than the last alpha
- Install writes 678 files instead of roughly 22,570, so it finishes instead of grinding
- The window appears immediately rather than sitting blank for about ten seconds while the backend starts
- Opening a heavy conversation dropped from over 25 MB of JSON to about 1 MB
- Background git polling went from every 30 seconds to every 5 minutes
- The database reclaims dead space on upgrade. One 590 MB file came back as 63 MB
Fixes
- Streaming replies no longer jump to the top of long conversations
- The working indicator stays visible for the whole turn
- Stopping a turn early no longer reports a provider error
- Dismissing an error banner actually dismisses it
Known issue
Opening a conversation in its own window can spike memory. Part of that is fixed and the rest is still being tracked.
