Receiver Diagnostics — Alpha 9 troubleshooting build
Pre-releaseThis is a troubleshooting-only build for users experiencing receiver stalls, IQ loss, control-channel loss, or unexplained audio gaps.
It is not a normal product update and is not published through the in-application update manifest. Normal installations will not be prompted to install it.
The build adds bounded receiver queue history, automatic incident capture, selective bounded thread dumps for sustained failures, and user-visible diagnostic status. It does not record raw IQ, decoded messages, audio, aliases, credentials, site identities, or full configuration. Tuner identities are replaced with per-run opaque IDs. Reports do include the live center frequency/sample rate, aggregate queue/decode/process metrics, and bounded JVM thread names and stack frames needed for troubleshooting.
Thread dumps briefly pause JVM threads while their stacks are collected, so they are taken only for sustained incidents or when requested manually. Use a copied portable data directory when possible. Open View → Receiver Queues to see the recorder state, request a manual capture, or copy the latest incident before restarting the application.
