Hello, and thank you for your great work on Cromite.

I would like to request the addition of a built-in Developer Tools interface on Android, similar to what Kiwi Browser provides. Kiwi integrates the full Chrome DevTools (Elements, Console, Network, etc.) directly inside the browser without requiring remote debugging or a desktop device.

This feature is extremely useful for web developers who want to inspect pages, edit CSS/JS, debug scripts, and analyze network activity directly on the phone.

Is it technically possible to enable or integrate a similar DevTools UI within Cromite?
Any information regarding feasibility or future plans for this feature would be appreciated.

Then press Ctrl+Shift+I to open devtools.

Are you sure is there "Shift" on this keyboard l, becuse i didn't see it

There is also https://github.com/Julow/Unexpected-Keyboard which seems to be better maintained

Caveats:

• To start with, you need an active keyboard on the page you intend to inspect. If the page has an input field, then the keyboard will be brought up upon clicking into it. But what to do if the page does not feature an input filed?
• The page might override the keycombo

Workaround:

• Visit some markdown pastebin. It will have an input field by definition, and is unlikely to override keycombos. So you can launch Devtools with the given combo. Then paste your target link into it and follow.

Nope, none of the browsers allow extensions to open the DevTools panel, and for good reason, due to the potential security implications that would only make existing issues worse. They also don't allow certain keyboard shortcuts to be ran through scripts - again, due to security.

Unusable currently with Always incognito mode enabled because the devtools opens in a new tab, separate from the actual page.

Yeah this was what I have been doing as well but it doesn't work anymore after the update to the current version (147.0.7727.56).
@uazo was it deliberately removed and in that case could you undo that please? It's really useful at times
