The trees are redrawn. The old crown was an octagon on a straight rod; the new one is a broad
cushion of foliage, wider than it is tall, in three bands of paper on a stocky trunk that flares
at the foot and forks into the leaves. It reads as a tree that makes shade rather than a lollipop.
The winter cap, the bare Halloween limbs and the fir were redrawn with it, so the whole family
speaks one language: knotty branches that climb rather than droop, and a stocky fir with three
full skirts and a star at its tip.
Trees no longer crowd the shops. The new crown is a quarter wider, and the rule that keeps a
trattoria's door and windows clear was re-measured against it. Across all twelve themes the worst
case actually improved.
Snow on the shop fronts is fixed in the theme gallery. The little preview cards had been
drawing the winter drifts where the roofline used to be, before the shops were given their
cornices, and never drew the cornices at all. The cards now show what the wallpaper shows.
Falling leaves detach from the new foliage's own edge, and there are exactly as many of them as
before.
Internal: three visual regression frames that were duplicates of others were removed, and a check
was added — and seen to work — so a frame cannot be committed twice under two names again.
