8Inventory
Without a backpack, a character has only 3 Inventory Slots, so don't lose yours.
Normal items use 1 Slot each.
Insignificant items use no slots. These are the only insignificant items:
- under 100 coins
- jewelry (if worn)
- normal clothing (if worn)
- The first water flask
- insignificant personal items (like handkerchiefs)
Unless noted otherwise, bundles can contain up to 3 of an item.
These are the only items that may be bundled:
- torches
- candles
- thrown weapons (throwing knives, javelins, throwing axes)
- 12 iron spikes & mallet
- Large Items
Heavy Items require more than one slot. (Example: Plate armor.)
Bulky Items such as statue chunks, rolled up carpets, or furniture require more than one slot and immediately cause a Bane to all rolls regardless of remaining empty slots.
You may use 2 Slots beyond the number granted on your character sheet. Doing so causes encumbrance.
When you are encumbered:
- You always lose initiative.
- You may not swim. If you try, you drown.
- You move slowly.
To retrieve an item from inventory in combat, roll 1d6. If you roll a 1 or 2, you've found it. Otherwise, you've wasted your combat round.
The first three slots on your sheet may be immediately accessed and are not in a pack.
