Week 06

Class meetings in this release: L6a, L6b.

Download CHEME-5660-Fall-2026-Week-06.7.zip under Assets and extract it. Do not use GitHub's
automatically generated Source code ZIP or tarball; those contain the authoring
repository rather than the student bundle.

The attached CHEME-5660-Fall-2026-Week-06.7.zip.sha256 file contains the SHA-256 checksum.

After extracting, open the bundle folder in VS Code and follow the setup steps in
its README. The bundle root contains Project.toml, Manifest.toml,
README.md, code/, scripts/, and lectures/week-6/.

Changes in week-06.7

  • The L6b buy-and-hold wealth formula explicitly uses the initial portfolio weights, w_i(0).
  • The accompanying explanation emphasizes that the weights specify the initial allocation.

This cumulative release includes both L6a and L6b. Example notebooks, stored results, and shared package code are unchanged from week-06.6.
