Venom 0.3.3 — uninterrupted completion

@santangelx santangelx released this 24 Sep 09:22
1a4422b

Fixes Venom interrupting completed conversations with another save prompt.

  • Removes Claude/Codex Stop and SubagentStop hooks and Gemini's AfterAgent continuation.
  • Keeps startup, per-prompt, and task-status reminders within the normal turn.
  • Asks the agent to save useful changes before its final answer, skip unchanged information, and avoid routine save announcements. Failed or unavailable saves must still be reported.
  • Updates every distribution manifest to 0.3.3 and synchronizes persistent host instructions.
  • Includes the ready-to-install Gemini extension archive.

Validation: 12 tests passed on Node 18 and Node 26 on macOS; Claude plugin and marketplace manifests validated; the Gemini archive was extracted and checked for version, hook registrations, and silent completion. The regression reproduction forces continuation on 0.3.2 and stays silent on 0.3.3. GitHub did not schedule CI runs during this release, so Windows execution remains unverified. Live authenticated host trials remain unverified.

Update the marketplace and installed plugin, then start a fresh task or restart the host to unload old hooks. Review/trust remaining hooks if requested by the host. For Gemini, extract venom-gemini-0.3.3.tar.gz and install the extracted venom directory. Manually copied host instructions must also be refreshed. Saving remains instruction-driven, not guaranteed background synchronization.

Venom 0.3.2 — lifecycle hook fixes

9e8bb12

Fixes upgrade delivery and startup coverage, and ships the lifecycle-hook hardening following 0.3.1.

  • Bumps all distribution manifests to 0.3.2 so existing installations receive the update.
  • Loads full startup guidance for every session source, including Claude forked sessions.
  • Explicitly registers the shared Claude/Codex hooks without duplicate discovery.
  • Preserves reminder delivery with missing guidance files, BOM-prefixed input, open stdin, and closed output pipes.
  • Includes the ready-to-install Gemini extension archive and synchronized adapters for other hosts.

Validation: 12 tests passed on Node 18 and Node 26 on macOS; Claude plugin and marketplace manifests validated; the Gemini archive was extracted and its version and completion retry guard verified. GitHub did not schedule CI runs, so Windows execution remains unverified. Live authenticated host trials remain unverified.

Update the plugin, review/trust changed hooks where required, and start a fresh task. For Gemini, extract venom-gemini-0.3.2.tar.gz and install the extracted venom directory with gemini extensions install. Hooks remain reminders, not guaranteed synchronization.

Venom 0.3.1 — verified progress checkpoints

@santangelx santangelx released this 18 Sep 10:20
dcc115c

Venom now reminds agents to save and verify useful project progress throughout work and before completion.

  • Startup, resume, and prompt reminders cover reading saved status, milestone checkpoints, and handoffs.
  • Codex and Claude receive task-status checkpoints and guarded Stop/SubagentStop save reminders.
  • Gemini receives an equivalent guarded AfterAgent reminder; the attached archive contains the ready-to-install extension.
  • Completion reminders allow one follow-up pass and avoid retry loops. Failed or denied saves must be reported as unsaved.

All 10 local plugin tests, manifest validation, and package checks passed. Live authenticated host trials remain unverified. Hooks are reminders rather than guaranteed synchronization; SessionEnd cannot prompt a departing agent, so saves occur before completion and planned shutdown.

Update the plugin, review/trust changed hooks where required, and start a fresh task. For Gemini, extract venom-gemini-0.3.1.tar.gz into a directory and install that directory with gemini extensions install.
