What's new in 1.2

  • Dynamic Island around the MacBook notch, like the iPhone's. The song that's playing shows beside the notch with its artwork and a live waveform; point at it for the Apple Music lyric, progress and controls, or click it to open Music.
  • Notifications from every app drop down from the notch as they arrive (needs Full Disk Access; the Setup Guide links to it).
  • Calls and meetings, including Zoom, Google Meet and Teams in your browser, with how long you've been on.
  • Personal Hotspot, timers and alerts: the Pomodoro and Stopwatch, charging, AirPods, volume, brightness, Focus and upcoming events. A second live activity waits in its own circle on the right.
  • The island also shows on the lock screen, and stays hidden on Macs without a notch until something is live.
