Highlights

  • First stable major release of the Rust accelerator.
  • Requires Python 3.11 or later; Python 3.9 and 3.10 are no longer supported.
  • Preserves the serializer behavior from 0.6.0.
  • Tests release wheels against stable CPython 3.15.0 and pins Rust 1.96.0 inside Linux build containers.

Migration guidance

Upgrade to Python 3.11+ before installing this release. Python 8.0.0 uses this accelerator through its optional fast extra.
