Why This Project Is Awesome

Which criterion does it meet? (pick one)

  • Industry Standard - The go-to tool for a specific use case
  • Rising Star - 5000+ stars in < 2 years, significant adoption
  • Hidden Gem - Exceptional quality, solves niche problems elegantly

Explain:
OpenVBS is a complete automation framework, based on making python scripts that compile into Visual Basic(VB scripts). It has complete support of VB, OOP and some more additions that the vanilla VBS doesn't have. Everything is verry safe,as you get warnings before you run VB scripts that might impact Windows's stability(reg edits, file operations, administrator permision, etc)

How It Differs

If similar entries exist, what makes this one unique?

Even if there are more automation CLI tools on github, no one implements VBS into python as good as OpenVBS does, as it has full support for VBS,examples for each update, AI support, OOP support, Plugin support. Also it supports raw VBS inside python!

@robert19066 Thanks for the submission. This project doesn’t currently meet our acceptance criteria: it has limited community traction (1 star) and is primarily applicable to legacy Windows-only environments, which limits its relevance to the broader Python community.

Please see our CONTRIBUTING.md for full requirements. You're welcome to resubmit once the project has matured and gained community traction.
