v0.1.9 — Fix Docker Daemon Hangs
Fix: Docker Tabs Permanently Loading / Empty
What was happening
All Docker tabs (Containers, Images, Volumes, Networks, Compose) showed permanent loading spinners or empty state, even though Docker was running with active containers.
Root Causes Found (3 layers)
1. Tokio Runtime Deadlock (v0.1.8 → v0.1.9 initial fix)
All Docker CLI commands called .output() directly on the async Tokio thread. When 4+ commands fired concurrently on startup, they exhausted the thread pool → deadlock.
→ Fix: spawn_blocking() for all Docker CLI calls.
2. Frozen Docker Daemon (this fix)
The Docker daemon inside Colima's VM periodically becomes unresponsive (socket exists but hangs). Without timeouts, ALL Bollard API calls and Docker CLI commands hung forever.
→ Fix: 5-10 second timeouts on every Bollard and CLI call.
3. No Recovery on Timeout (this fix)
When fetches failed/timed out, the UI showed 'No containers' (misleading). No retry mechanism existed.
→ Fix: Auto-retry every 5 seconds with loading spinners until Docker recovers.

v0.1.8 — Docker Tab Stability Fix
Fix: Docker Tabs Data Loss & Infinite Loading
What was happening
When Docker and Colima were running stably, the Containers, Images, Volumes, Networks, and Compose tabs would intermittently lose all data or get stuck on infinite loading spinners.
Root Cause
The Bollard Docker event stream would occasionally experience transient interruptions (idle timeouts, brief socket hiccups). The watcher was aggressively clearing ALL Docker state on any stream error, even when Docker was still running perfectly fine.
Additionally, on reconnect, only containers/images were repopulated — volumes and networks were lost forever until the user manually navigated to those tabs.
Fixes
- Bug #1: Verify Docker is truly unreachable (ping check) before clearing state. Transient stream errors now silently reconnect without data loss.
- Bug #2: New
docker-reconnectedevent triggers automatic refetch of ALL resources (containers, images, volumes, networks) after reconnection. - Bug #3: Loading atoms properly reset on connection-lost, so pages show spinners instead of stuck empty states.

v0.1.7 — Fix UI Freeze on Instance Stop/Restart
🐛 Bug Fix
Critical: UI freeze during instance lifecycle operations
Problem: The app would completely hang when stopping, restarting, or deleting Colima instances in the Instances tab.
Root Cause: colima stop, colima delete, and colima kubernetes CLI commands (which take 30-60+ seconds) were running synchronously on the Tokio async runtime thread, blocking the entire event loop and freezing the UI.
Fix: Wrapped all three commands in tokio::task::spawn_blocking() to run them on a dedicated thread pool, keeping the UI responsive during long-running operations.
Changes
stop_instance→spawn_blockingdelete_instance→spawn_blockingkubernetes_action→spawn_blocking- Synced all version manifests (package.json, tauri.conf.json, Cargo.toml) to
0.1.7

ColimaUI v0.1.6
What's Changed
- Aligned Volumes card layout with Networks for consistent Inspect/Remove button positioning
- Both pages now use identical flex layout:
flex: 1+minWidth: 0for content,flexShrink: 0for buttons - Removed hardcoded
maxWidthon text elements in favor of responsive overflow handling
ColimaUI v0.1.5
What's Changed
- Fixed icon edge artifacts and regenerated all platform assets
- Fixed scrolling layout on Volumes and Networks pages
- Improved UI consistency by replacing native OS checkboxes with custom SVG-styled checkboxes
- Updated package and tauri versions to 0.1.5
