Names and levels

Names are separate from bars: an actor can have a name with no bar, or a bar with no name. NPC options live in NPC Bar — Info, other players' in Other Player Bar — Info, and the two colouring switches in Behavior & Hotkeys.

Setting What it does Default
NPC Name Whether NPCs get a name label: Never, When tracked, or Always Always
Player Name The same for other players When tracked
Combat Level Appends the combat level to the name. Present in both sections Off
Combat NPCs Only Hides NPCs with no combat level and no Attack option, like bankers On
Name Length Limit Shortens NPC names past this many characters. 0 = no limit 0
Name Color Colour of the name text, separate from the HP number NPC: yellow · Player: white
Highlight Friends Draws a friend's name in the friend colour On
Friend Name Color Colour used for a friend's name Green
Blacklist Comma-separated names to hide, * wildcards allowed. Present in both sections Blank

Combat level colouring

Color Combat Levels tints the level itself by how far it is from your own, on the game's red through yellow to green scale. It needs a combat level to be showing.

Color Names By Level takes that same colour and applies it to the name, replacing Name Color. It is off by default.

Friends win over both: with Highlight Friends on, a friend's name is always the friend colour.

Blacklists

A blacklisted NPC gets no bar and no name. A blacklisted player gets neither, and keeps the client's own overheads rather than the plugin's redraw.

Matching is case insensitive and covers the whole name, so goblin hides Goblin but not Goblin Champion. Use goblin* for both.
