Framework Setup
This page will explain about framework setup using pallets/flask as demonstration. As always, have in mind that different software means different steps, even if the concept is the same.
Before diving into setting up pallets/flask, there will be listed the set of tools used in this tutorial right below:
- Bash
- Git
- Pip (Python's package manager)
- Python3 Interpreter
- Python3 VEnv
As previously mentioned, pallets/flask will used as a demonstration. The setup of this framework will be shown on this part of the tutorial.
Before cloning pallets flask, I would like to recommend that all the cloning of tools is done inside the ~/Downloads directory, as it is easier to delete cloning without deleting personal data if anything goes wrong.
To clone this framework GitHub repository you can run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/pallets/flask.gitBefore handling pallets/flask dependencies, it is recommended to create a Python3 VEnv to avoid a dependency hell.
Use the following commands to create a VEnv inside flask cloned directory:
cd flask
mkdir .venv
python3 -m venv .venvTo ensure dependencies are met and the framework is installed inside the VEnv, running the following command will do it automatically:
.venv/bin/pip install -e .
