v1.4.0
First tagged release. A self-contained Claude / Gemini terminal agent for
PowerPC Macs on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) — single Perl file, bundled TLS-capable
curl, no MacPorts / Xcode / CPAN.
Highlights
- Input no longer flickers. The line editor stopped repainting the whole
line on every keystroke — plain typing just prints the character now, so it
feels stable even on a G4. - Scrollback stays clean. Fixed the half-typed duplicate lines that used to
pile up in terminal history while typing near the bottom of the screen. - Japanese / IME input fixed across the board — stray characters, cursor
drift on full-width text, accidental line submit while choosing a conversion,
and garbled reconversions. - Terminal size is measured, not guessed. Handles machines where
stty sizelies (including the "0 0" case seen on a PowerMac G4) by asking
the terminal directly via CPR. - Typewriter output. Replies print character by character; tune with
CLAUDE_TYPE_DELAY(seconds per char),0for instant. - Guided Gemini key setup on first run — a numbered walkthrough, opens the
page for you, and verifies the key you paste before accepting it. - Assorted crash and stability fixes (debug logger, stray cursor-report
fragments, lazy-scroll bookkeeping).
