I have the following situation. In my home office, I use a Mac Mini with a large 32-inch screen for personal work. My work MacBook is right next to it. Now I’d like to display a large window from the MacBook on the Mac Mini’s screen while simultaneously using the MacBook’s (Air 15") built-in display. However, I can’t get this to work with BetterDisplay. I can only get both displays to appear as windows on the Mac Mini. The MacBook screen then goes black. Is there a configuration in Better Display that can achieve this, or is this an intentional limitation of Apple Remote Screen? |

It's a Screen Sharing setting - click on the [i] button and change ScreenSharing Type to Standard if you want to share an existing screen. |

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I don't want to share an existing one. I want to essentially extend the existing physical screen with another virtual screen, which will then appear as a virtual screen on a different system. Both should be controlled via the target system. |

Thank you very much |

Where Du I find the [i] Button? |

OK i found the [i] Button ;-) But then I have the Issue that I only can mirror the HW Display of my MacBook to the Mac Mini. I want to leave the HW Screen where it is and extend that screen to a virtual screen that lives on my Mac Mini. |
