Auto-reconnect of internal display fails when all displays are disconnected

I have the "auto-connect all displays when no connected displays left" option enabled, but I'm not observing it working in this scenario:

• Connect single external display to 2021 M1 Macbook Pro (direct connection via USB-C -> DP cable)
• Disconnect internal display using BetterDisplay menu icon
• Unplug external display

The internal display doesn't reconnect automatically. Closing and reopening the lid or plugging the external back into access the menu to reconnect it works fine, fortunately.

Indeed, it does not work properly, just reproduced the issue. :)

Hmm. Seems like the issue presents itself on my setup only when a dummy is connected (as that is treated as an online display). That is clearly not how it should work but a loophole not handled properly.

Do you have a dummy enabled?

Strange! No, I don't, unless I managed to do so by accident without noticing (but I'm quite sure I don't). I have not touched that part of the app at all; I can try adding and then removing one for kicks to see what happens though.

All right, I was able to reproduce the problem without a dummy as well. There seems to be multiple issues. Sorry about this!
