Summary

• invoke the Wurst compiler with its supported -version flag
• skip update notifications when the installed revision cannot be determined
• record version-detection failures in extension diagnostics
• release the fix as version 0.12.19

Acceptance criteria

• installed WurstScript revisions are displayed instead of unknown
• detection failures cannot masquerade as available updates
• the packaged extension contains the production runtime files

Validation

• npx tsc -p . --noEmit — passed
• npm test — passed
• npm run lint — passed with one pre-existing webpack.config.js unused-import warning
• npm run vscode:prepublish — production bundles built and VSIX contents verified
• local compiler invocation with -version — returned 1.9.0.0-v0.0.0-6-b36c3461-61-gba83111da

Known gaps

• No VS Code shell e2e run; the change is limited to the Node-side compiler invocation and update decision, both covered by the fast harness.
