Android companion app 0.7.0 for RAChecker. Sideload RAChecker-0.7.0.apk.

Important

Read this first.

  • Big files take minutes. Decompression runs in JavaScript, so a multi-gigabyte disc image inside a .7z can take several minutes on a phone. The scan shows unpacking progress — it is working, not frozen.
  • Sync your disc systems. Disc images can only match if you selected and synced those systems in the Hash DB tab.
  • Still desktop-only: RAR archives, GameCube/Wii, RVZ/GCZ/GDI, split CUE/BIN, M3U, and CHDs whose data is FLAC-compressed.

What's new

The app opens on your profile, and scanning never starts on its own any more. A scan reads every file in the folder, so it now only runs when you ask for it. Both are yours to change under Settings → Scanning & start — pick any tab as the start screen, and turn "scan the saved folder on launch" back on if you liked it that way.

Compressed disc images (.cso/.zso) hash on the device. Common for PSP. Only the parts of the image the hash actually needs are decompressed, so it takes a moment rather than minutes. (Closes #8 on the desktop side too.)

A game's points are right. RetroAchievements returns no point total for a game, which is why the game view could read "0 pts" while an achievement showed 3. It is now summed from the achievement set and shown together with your own standing — "3 of 514 points".

The achievement list can be filtered the way the RetroAchievements page does it: missable, progression, win condition, unlocked, remaining. The type is marked on each achievement.

Achievement of the Week now names the game and the system it belongs to, and opens the game when tapped.

Requires Android 7+. The APK is signed with the same key as previous releases, so it installs over 0.5.x/0.6.x without losing your hash DB, collection or login.
