Short answers to what people ask most. Each one links to the page with the full story.
No. Once it's installed, it records every match on its own, whether or not you ever open the window. See Getting started.
No. Your notes, reps, tags and comments are only ever shown to you. The addon never sends anything to a chat channel or to another player.
No. Your history stays in a file on your computer. It only leaves if you copy it out yourself, such as
with Export or /pvph export csv. See Moving your history.
Yes. Every character on your account shares one history. The dropdown at the top right of the window shows one character at a time, or All Characters. See Showing one character.
No. Your history isn't kept in the addon's folder, so replacing or deleting that folder leaves it alone. See Updating the addon.
Use Export on the old computer and Import on the new one, under Storage in the settings. Or copy the saved files across with the game closed. See Where your history is kept.
Usually one of three things: you left before the end (look under the Other tab), it was a duel the game didn't print a result for, or the game crashed before it saved. See A match is missing.
Each one has its own switch:
| What you see | Turn it off with |
|---|---|
| A line in chat after every match |
Chat after a match, or /pvph postgame off
|
| The match window opening by itself after a match |
Open the match after it ends, or /pvph aftermatch off
|
| Names across your screen at the start of a match | /pvph announce off |
| A line in chat when your group changes | /pvph alert off |
| A mark and a chat line when someone you wrote about appears |
Mark people you have written about when they appear, or /pvph sight off
|
| The addon's lines on player tooltips | /pvph tooltip off |
The named switches are under Alerts in the settings. See Alerts for what each one does.
The game doesn't let any addon see those during a match. See What it cannot record.
Erase under ERASE EVERYTHING STORED, at the bottom of Storage in the settings. It asks you to confirm, and keeps a copy you can bring back. See Starting over.
On the Commands page, or type /pvph help in game.
