Codex Styler 0.1.0-alpha.1

This is the first installable macOS Apple Silicon preview of Codex Styler. It is intended for early evaluation and issue reporting, not production-critical workflows.

Warning

This build is ad-hoc signed but not signed with an Apple Developer ID and not notarized by Apple. macOS will identify it as software from an unidentified developer. Use Finder's Control-click → Open flow on first launch. Do not disable Gatekeeper globally.

Download and install

  1. Download Codex-Styler_0.1.0-alpha.1_aarch64-unsigned.dmg.
  2. Open the DMG and drag Codex Styler to Applications.
  3. In Applications, Control-click Codex Styler, choose Open, then confirm once.
  4. Install OpenAI Codex Desktop separately. Quit an existing Codex session manually before asking Styler to launch a managed session.

Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon. Intel Macs and Windows are not included in this preview.

Included

  • Native Refined, Nocturne Studio, and Quiet Garden Companion.
  • English and Simplified Chinese manager UI.
  • Guided theme editing, local theme library, import, and export.
  • Data-only theme validation and strict archive safety limits.
  • Loopback-only managed Codex launch, safe-mode scene injection, pause, and restore.
  • SHA-256 checksums, an SPDX 2.3 dependency SBOM exported from GitHub's dependency graph, and GitHub build/SBOM attestations.

Verification status

The DMG structure, Apple Silicon architecture, application identifier, version metadata, ad-hoc hardened-runtime signature, native UI rendering, and detection of Codex Desktop 26.707.72221 have been verified on macOS Apple Silicon.

The complete managed launch → apply → pause → restore chain has not yet completed its release-gate test on a clean secondary device. Unknown Codex versions therefore remain restricted to safe mode, and this build must remain an Alpha pre-release.

Safety

Codex Styler does not patch app.asar, modify the Codex application bundle, install a proxy, or run a background service. Themes contain local raster assets and JSON only. Choose Restore official or restart Codex to remove the temporary visual runtime.
