Simple Mode (All in one)

All in one turns the three apps off as line producers and turns them into values. Instead of Status, MediaPlay and Hardware each contributing their own lines in a fixed order, you write one string and decide the layout yourself.

Off: Status line
       Artist : Title | 1:27/3:45
       GPU 88% | CPU 41%

On: GPU 88% ⚙ CPU 41% · ♪ Title

Switch it on with the toggle on the All in one card (Apps page). The mode buttons at the top of that card choose between Normal mode — this page — and Advanced mode, the node canvas.

Writing a string

A string is plain text with {placeholders} in it:

{text} \n {artist} : {title} | {time} \n {bar}
Element Meaning
{name} A value; see the Placeholder Reference
\n A real line break
{sup/"text"} Render that part small and raised
{sub/"text"} Render that part small and lowered
+ button Opens the placeholder picker, grouped by app

Empty values clean up after themselves

A placeholder with no value is removed together with its separators. This is the single most useful property of the template language:

Template:  GPU: {gpu_usage} | VRAM: {vram_usage} | CPU: {cpu_usage}
No VRAM: GPU: 88% | CPU: 41%

Not GPU: 88% | | CPU: 41%. So a template can ask for everything and still look right when half of it is unavailable.

Several strings

Up to 10 strings, rotating.

Setting Default What it does
Number of strings 1 How many of the ten are in use
Rotate strings every off / 10 sec Shared dwell time
Custom time (per string) off This string uses its own dwell time
Custom sec (per string) 10 That string's dwell time

A string left empty is skipped, and its slot number travels with it — AIO 2 being empty does not shift AIO 3's dwell time onto AIO 4.

The fields are multi-line. Shift+Enter breaks a line inside the field; dragging the bottom edge resizes it.

Templates

Ten independent AIO layouts, switched with the numbered buttons at the top of the card. Each template keeps its own:

  • ten strings
  • number of strings
  • per-string dwell times
  • node canvases (see Advanced Mode)

Where other things go while All in one is on

Feature Behaviour
Plugin lines Still appended, above the AIO block
Custom Box Not wrapped automatically — place {box_start} / {box_stop} yourself
Chat message Depends on the Chat card (always takes over the chatbox)
Speech to Text Depends on Send as on the To Text card

When to move to Advanced Mode

A template string is the right tool while the message is a fixed layout with values dropped into it. It stops being the right tool when the message needs to decide something:

  • show a different line while a song is paused
  • react to an avatar parameter
  • shorten a title only when it is too long
  • alternate between two layouts every ten seconds

All of that is a condition, and a condition inside a single line of text becomes unreadable quickly. That is what Advanced Mode is for. Switching between the two modes never converts or deletes anything — the strings stay exactly where they are.
