Culvia is early-stage. This roadmap is a practical direction, not a fixed release contract.
- Improve source folder management, drag-and-drop, deduplication, and scan feedback.
- Keep desktop and web behavior aligned.
- Make scoring jobs easier to pause, resume, cancel, and inspect after refresh.
- Improve the viewer and photo wall for long scoring details and large-model comments.
- Strengthen export preflight and delivery workflows.
- Expand tests around source scanning, task control, persistence, and packaging.
The desktop app should remain a client of the same local backend used by the web app. Packaging details may change over time, so project-level docs avoid tying product concepts to a specific shell technology.
Goals:
- Native window experience
- Local file access
- Secure credential handling
- Full and lite runtime modes
- Cross-platform build paths for macOS, Windows, and Linux
Future model work should keep the photographer in control:
- Local scoring for fast baseline signals
- Optional large-model review as a separate, inspectable task
- Clear progress and cancellation behavior
- Reuse of completed scores when possible
- Explicit distinction between model recommendation and manual decision
Good contributions include:
- Reproducible bug reports
- Small workflow improvements
- Platform packaging fixes
- Source scanning edge cases
- UI clarity improvements
- Tests for backend service behavior and API contracts
